The Ballad of the Bubble Blower

Once upon a time
Museums were made for art deco
And pipes were made for tobacco
That didn't last long
Tobacco was found to be harmful
And art deco just goddamn awful

Smoking a pipe became out of date
And famous museums became second rate
Smoking tobacco was banned in public
And artists were banned from the republic

Tobacco moguls went into a fit
And artists were homeless and out of their wit
Until they started smoking some soap
And found that the bubbles gave them new hope

Grow, bubble, grow
I'll give you some blow
You're my favorite bubble
You give me no trouble

It turned out to be the most perfect trade
And ever since then their art makes the grade
Museums collect their bubbles like mad
And one couldn't find more fun to be had

Grow, bubble, grow
I'll give you some blow
You're my favorite bubble
You give me no trouble
